⚖️ Official Rules & Eligibility

To ensure a fair and competitive environment, all participants must adhere to the following:

  • Eligibility: Open to all students currently enrolled in a Quebec University. Proof of enrollment (Student ID or transcript) may be requested for prize verification.

  • Team Size: You may participate as an individual or in teams of up to 3 people.

  • Original Work: All code must be written during the hacking period (12:30 PM – 4:00 PM). Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and AI frameworks is encouraged, but the core integration and "automation logic" must be your own.

  • Submission: To be eligible for the $300 prize and Boundary AI internship consideration, projects must be submitted on Devpost by the 4:00 PM deadline.

  • IP Ownership: Participants retain full ownership of the intellectual property they create during the hackathon.

  🤝 Code of Conduct

The McGill Data Network is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone. By participating, you agree to:

  1. Respect Your Peers: Harassment or discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion will not be tolerated.

  2. Collaborate Fairly: Be helpful and professional. Competition is encouraged, but sabotage or plagiarism is grounds for immediate disqualification.

  3. Be Good Guests: We are lucky to have space at McGill. Please clean up after yourself and follow all campus building policies.

  4. Report Issues: If you feel uncomfortable or witness any inappropriate behavior, please immediately notify an MDN organizer.
